3 Simple Ways Introverts Can Network ONline

Recently, on our podcast, we discussed networking for introverts and three mindset shifts that can help make networking less intimidating.  

Here we are sharing three simple ways law students can network online and leverage their online presence in innovative and intentional ways.  

  1. Join an online alumni group 

    Alumni love to help other alumni.  By joining an online alumni group for your undergrad, you can easily make those connections without having to put on a suit or grab your business cards.  After you join the group, find meaningful ways to participate and contribute.  Attend virtual events.  Connect with the alumni you meet on other platforms such as LinkedIn and via email. 

  2. Create a professional engaged LinkedIn Presence 

    LinkedIn is more than just a static place to keep your resume.  It is an opportunity to connect with others by sharing interesting articles, commenting on your connections’ updates and being an active contributor in groups.  By creating a routine of engaging with your network on LinkedIn, you can easily network each and every day by spending a few thoughtful minutes online. 

  3. Send Intentional Emails 

    Who in your network have you not spoken with recently? Is there someone you can send an intentional thoughtful email to? Your network cannot help you unless they know how.  Take a look at this post One Big Way to Leverage Your Network for how to ask your network for actionable help.
