Join Us in Clubhouse

Hi All,

This week we are talking about our experiences diving into Clubhouse. For those of you who have not yet experienced Clubhouse, it is an emerging social media network. However, the twist is that is it audio only - and not recorded. You can jump into these Clubhouse rooms and speak directly, and in real time, with people in the rooms on almost any topic you could imagine.

Haley shared her experience speaking on Clubhouse for the first time. She found it odd, but once she got past the initial strangeness of a new platform she found it to be pretty neat. It is odd speaking to people without any social cue at all - but that discomfort is short lived.

One of our favorite Clubhouse rooms is hosted every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. by Megan Whiteside of the Law Life and Mom Podcast. On Clubhouse you can find her @momlifeandlaw and on Instagram @momlifeandlaw. She presents a different topic every week on issues affecting lawyer moms and invited a lot of collaborative conversation. Check her out!

Collaborative conversation is one of our favorite benefits of Clubhouse. It really invites innovation and open dialogue in a way that other social media platforms simply cannot.

We also discuss hosting law related rooms on Clubhouse and some potential pitfalls. Ultimately we think speaking to other professionals, rather than potential clients, might be a better use for attorneys on Clubhouse.
